Mike Jackson House

Mike Jackson House, located in Aldershot, is a new supported housing project providing 25 self contained flats. The project is named after General Sir Mike Jackson (below), formerly Chief of the General Staff from 2003 until 2006.

Mike Jackson House

Mike Jackson House follows hard on the success of its sister project, The Galleries, in Richmond, North Yorkshire. Since its opening in 2002, The Galleries has been successful in helping over 130 single service leavers find suitable permanent housing and work, while providing them with secure temporary accommodation.

The scheme has been funded through land gifted by the MoD, capital grants from Communities & Local Government, Rushmoor Borough Council, Service charities and Supporting People funding provided by Hampshire County Council.

Mike Jackson House is a contemporary design, providing 25 self contained fully furnished 1 bed flats, as well as communal meeting areas and training rooms. It presents service leavers with access to top of the range facilities, 24 hour support and trained career advisors, giving the opportunity to develop highly marketable job skills in a supportive environment.

Offering secure short-term supported accommodation primarily for single service leavers, as well as veterans, it provides help to those who need it. This may include help with the skills required for independent living, finding somewhere permanent to live, or help finding a job. General Sir Mike Jackson
